Aerial View

I was raised on carpets and spent so many hours of my childhood staring at the patterns, imagining that the images of flowers and plants are real and we have a real garden laid down on our house floor.

When I was in Iran, I had no idea of how persian culture would look from the outside. Being inspired by carpet plans, I incorporate Persian rug’s patterns with minimalized airplane view of some cities in Iran to address my longing to call a land “home”.
