Homesickness is a natural process that could occur even if an individual temporarily leaves his/her hometown and moves to another region even in a same city or country. Being inspired by the "Aerial View" series, I created this series drawing my mother’s hands while they are covered with patterns that I was surrounded by when I was home. For a long time, mark-making and creating patterns were the only way that I could make myself at home while I was far away from my comfort zone.
